President Yoon Suk Yeol on Wednesday extended an apology for the South Korean port city Busan's failure to host the World Expo 2030.

"I feel that we greatly missed our prediction target, which was based on what we've felt from meetings (to ask for support for Busan's bid)," Yoon said in a 10-minute speech to South Korean citizens at his office. "The blame is all on me."

Robots powered by artificial intelligence will aid English education in five elementary and middle schools in Seoul starting in March 2024, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education said Wednesday.
2024년 3월부터 서울의 5개 초등학교와 중학교에서 인공지능에 의해 작동하는 로봇이 영어교육을 보조할 것이라고 지난 수요일 서울시 교육청이 발표했다.

The English tutoring robots will aid students in brushing up their English language knowledge, conversation skills and pronunciation. For students struggling academically, the robots will provide a customized education service, enabling them to learn the language at their own pace.
영어교육로봇은 그들의 언어 지식과 회화 능력 및 발음을 다듬는 것을 도울 것이다. 열심히 노력하는 학생들에게 로봇은 맞춤화된 교육 서비스를 그들의 학습 속도에 맞게 제공 할 것이다.

Samsung Group's key technology affiliates -- Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display and Samsung SDS, Samsung SDI and Samsung Electro-Mechanics -- on Wednesday promoted a swath of young executives in their 30s and 40s as part of their ongoing efforts to build a foundation for future growth.
삼성그룹의 핵심 기술 계열사인 삼성전자, 삼성디스플레이, 삼성SDS, 삼성SDI 및 삼성전기는 수요일 미래성장을 위한 초석의 일환으로 30,40대로 구성된 젊은 임원 인사를 단행했다.

Samsung Electronics promoted a total of 143 executives in a year-end reshuffle, a decrease from last year’s 183. The total number of executives promoted this year was the lowest since May 2017 marked 90.
삼성전자는 총 143명의 임원 인사가 재배치되는데, 작년 183명보다는 감소한 숫자이다. 이 숫자는 지난 2017년 90명 이후로 가장 낮은 임원 승진 숫자이다.
